Flood your home with natural light

A flat glass rooflight brings the sky into a room without changing its lines. Where a lantern rises up and adds structure, a Korniche flat rooflight sits almost flush with the roof, so the ceiling stays clean and uninterrupted while the room below floods with daylight.

A near-invisible frame

Korniche’s flat glass rooflight & Flatlite rooflights are built around a slim frame, engineered to frame the glass rather than compete with it. Fewer visible components mean an almost seamless sheet of glass from below, with the same precision engineering behind the scenes that keeps the unit weathertight and true to shape for years.

Warm in winter, cool in summer

Every Korniche flat rooflight is thermally broken, with a polyamide barrier separating the inner and outer aluminium so heat can’t transfer straight through the frame. Choose double glazing for strong all-round performance, or step up to the triple-glazed option for even better heat retention and greater solar glare reflection. A self-clean glass coating comes as standard, helping rainwater carry away dust and grime with minimal upkeep.

Made to fit your home

Every Korniche flat rooflight is made to measure, so it’s specified around the opening rather than the other way round:

  • Bespoke sizes to suit the opening, from compact single units to large open-plan spans up to 6m x 4m
  • Double or triple glazed, in clear, blue, or neutral tints
  • Laminated glass option for added durability and safety
  • Standard colours in Grey, Black, and White for fast turnaround, or a fully bespoke RAL powder-coated finish on request

Built to last

  • Thermally broken aluminium frame with a low-profile black gloss frame
  • Double or triple glazed units, both exceeding current Part L thermal requirements
  • Self-clean glass coating as standard
  • Sits on a kerb or upstand for a clean, low-profile finish on flat and low-pitch roofs
  • Minimal upkeep once installed

Why installers keep coming back to Korniche from SevenDay

Fewer parts and a repeatable fitting process mean a consistent result whether it’s a first-time install by a budding DIY’er or the twentieth, without eating into the job’s margin on labour.

Specification at a glance

  • Glazing – Double glazed as standard, triple glazed option available
  • Frame – Thermally broken aluminium with polyamide thermal break
  • Bezel – Black gloss, standard across all colourways
  • Roof pitch – Suited to flat and low-pitch roofs, typically mounted on a kerb or upstand
  • Thermal performance – Both glazing options exceed current Part L requirements for replacement rooflights
  • Sizes – Bespoke, made to measure per opening

Colours and glazing options

  • Stock colours: Grey, Black & White for the fastest lead times
  • Bespoke powder-coated RAL colour finishes available on request
  • Clear, blue, or neutral glass tints
  • Laminated glass option where extra durability or safety is needed
  • Self-clean coating included as standard. A special coating applied to the glass breaks down organic dirt, reducing the ability of other dirt particles to stick to the surface. When it rains, water spreads evenly across the glass rather than forming droplets. This thin sheet of water then washes away the loosened dirt as it runs off. The result is cleaner glass with less maintenance and visibly clearer views.

Lantern or flat rooflight – which is right for the project?

Where a Korniche lantern adds height, dimension, and a pyramid or ridge structure to a flat roof, the flat glass rooflight keeps everything level with the roofline for a minimalist look, inside and out. It’s a strong fit for modern extensions, orangeries, garden rooms, and kitchen spaces where the priority is light without a visual statement piece overhead.
